Many have known Charlie Brown as the protagonist character in the comic strip ‘Peanuts’ by Charles M. Schulz , and now many fans couldn’t help but feel giddy and nostalgic as the Coldplay new song was released with a reference to the well loved character. When asked how the song was written, lead singer Chris Martin shared that he wrote the song in a doll’s house. It turns out that he made the doll’s house into a studio because his daughter Apple didn’t like it.
Charlie Brown is the fourth track in the Coldplay’s latest album Mylo Xylyto. According to sources, it is set to be the third single to be released by the band, following the first two singles ‘Every Teardrop is a Waterfall’ and ‘Paradise’

The Coldplay New Song Charlie Brown was actually the first song recorded during the sessions in the process of brainstorming for the band’s fifth and latest album, Mylo Xylyto. The origin of the song’s name was due to the fact that the lyrics of the song were inspired by the Peanuts comic strip, of which the character Charlie Brown was a protagonist. They thought of other titles like “Cartoon Head” or Cartoon Heart” during the writing and recording sessions. In the end, they decided that “Charlie Brown” was the perfect fit for the song.

This official video was directed by Mat Whitecross, the same man who directed the official video for the song ‘Paradise’. The video features 50 painted dancers. It was shot in a church in London.
